I ate at a mom and pop restaurant over the weekend that had a really good chocolate peanutbutter cake that I would like to find a recipe for. The bottom was chocolate and was a little dry and crumbly like, but not a crust and not really a cake either and on top it had a peanutbutter layer that was softer; maybe had sweetened condensed milk and brown sugar in it? It was served warm with whipped cream and was awesome! Thanks!Does anyone have a recipe for a chocolate peanut butter cake?
CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CAKE ***
1 pkg. Oats and Brown Sugar Cake Mix (mixed as directed)
1/2 c. warm peanut butter
1/3 c. mini chocolate chips
1/2 can dark chocolate frosting
1/4 c. peanut butter
1/2 can vanilla frosting
Grease and sugar a 12 cup microwave safe bundt pan. Prepare the cake mix exactly according to box directions.
Warm 1/2 cup peanut butter in microwave on high for 45 seconds. Blend into cake mixture.
Blend all but 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips into the cake mixture and pour the batter into the bundt pan. Sprinkle the remaining chips over the batter. Cook on defrost for 5 minutes, then on high for 7 to 9 minutes, turning a quarter turn after each 2 minutes. Let stand on flat surface, then invert onto platter.
When cool, frost with the two frostings as follows. Warm the 1/4 cup peanut butter on high until hot, about 40 seconds. Warm the vanilla frosting for 30 seconds and blend with the peanut butter. Drizzle this over cake. Warm the chocolate frosting on high for 30 seconds and drizzle over the peanut butter frosting.

INGREDIENTS:
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
2 cups white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons butter, melted
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
--------------------------------------鈥?br>
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one sheet cake pan or one cookie sheet with 1 inch sides.
In a large bowl, beat eggs until lemon colored. Add vanilla and salt. Stir in sugar, flour, milk, baking powder, and melted butter or margarine.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not overbake.
While the cake is still warm, spread with peanut butter. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate morsels, and put the pan back into the oven to melt the chocolate. Spread the chocolate evenly over the peanut butter. Refrigerate until chocolate is set. Alternatively, you can let the peanut butter cool and harden. Later, melt the chocolate, and spread it on the cake. It comes out in two distinct peanut butter and chocolate layers that way.
