Any1 know the recipe 4 making a good cake?

Because I want to make the best cake for my birthday.Any1 know the recipe 4 making a good cake?
Go to foodnetwork.com. They have alot of good recipes. =)Any1 know the recipe 4 making a good cake?
it seems as though you are baking a cake for the first time ...i would suggest that you use a box cake mix and follow the directions and measure everything exactly and as jai said dont overmix your cake many people have the tendacy to put it on the mixer and forget it.. or they think it not mixed enough even it there are small lumps they will bake out ....good luck ...its a bummer to bake your own cake but its fun....
Have you heard of ';tres leches';??? That cake is soooooooooo good!!!
I assume you're not really familiar with baking.? Cakes are one thing that are as good or better when made with a mix. A mix is much less likely to ';fall';, and the cost is a lot less than baking from scratch. look at the cake mix section of your grocers and pick out the one you like!
I have a Better Homes and Gardens cook book, but I won't type all the recipes. They have a white chocolate cake, a Mocha Torte, and both are really to die for. If you go to bhg.com and type in cake, it will give you a bunch of recipes that you can print or even email to yourself. BHG is the best for old fashion and new recipes. But if you don't find something there, I also have an American Heritage cookbook with recipes for cakes introduced into American cooking from other countries. If that sounds of interest, email me at finholl@yahoo.com and I will email you back a list of cakes
Whether you are using a box or from scratch two keys are: do not over beat the batter and ONLY open the oven door when you think it is done (toothpick test as quickly as possible)
