Here is my family's favorite chocolate cake recipe. My husband likes it so well he prefers to eat it without frosting on it. It is very moist! There are no eggs required and no greasing of the pan. A very simple recipe that has been around for many many years. It goes by several different names. We call it 3 Hole Cake. Other names are Crazy Cake or Wacky Cake.

3 HOLE CAKE

3 cups flour

2 cups sugar

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1/3 cup Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder

3/4 cup vegetable oil

2 tbsp vinegar

1 tsp vanilla

2 cups cold water

frosting or Cool Whip (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in 9x13-inch baking pan.

Make 3 holes in the mixture and pour vegetable oil, vinegar, and vanilla in the holes (each in a separate hole).

Then pour 2 cups cold water over all and stir with fork mixing completely.

Bake 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool and frost or serve with Cool Whip.

Enjoy!
