Anyone have a good recipe for a layer cake with strawberries in the middle?

Seppo鈥檚 Strawberry Filling/Topping:





2 pints ripe strawberries, hulled, sliced in 陆 if large


2 tablespoons honey


2 tablespoons maple syrup


1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice


1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract





Making the Strawberry Filling/Topping:


(First, set aside several choice strawberries for decorating if you鈥檒l be frosting the cake.)


Puree half of the strawberries in a food processor with the honey, maple syrup, lemon juice, and vanilla until it is a smooth sauce. Add the remaining strawberries and pulse until chopped, but not liquefied.

Another Fresh Strawberry Filling





2 1/2 cups of strawberries, halved or sliced thinner if you like


1/4 cup sugar


1/2 cup water


2 tsp. cornstarch





Crush 1/2 cup berries; add water; cook 2 minutes; sieve. Mix sugar and cornstarch; gradually stir into berry juice. Cook, and stir till thick and clear. Cool slightly; pour over sliced strawberries. Cool to room temperature and use as cake filling.Anyone have a good recipe for a layer cake with strawberries in the middle?
You can take any layer cake and make a filling with fresh strawberries for the layer in between!





1 Quart of strawberries hulled and chopped coarsely


**1 4 oz package of instant vanilla pudding or jello


8 oz of cool whip


red food coloring if desired





** Pick one do not use food coloring if you use jello





Place chosen ingredients into a bowl and stir until well blended. Us on a cool cake for your middle layer.





Frost cake with icing of your choice and refrigerate.Anyone have a good recipe for a layer cake with strawberries in the middle?
If the cake doesnt matter. Get an angel food cake and cut it in half. Tunnel out the bottom with a spoon and fill with strawberries. Place the top back on it and frost with cool whip
