Has anyone ever heard of pick-a-part cake? Do you have a recipe for it?

I think it is made out of canned biscuit dough that is rolled in cinnamon but I am not sure. A friend of my grandmothers used to make it all the time when I was little. Also might be called pull-a-part cake.Has anyone ever heard of pick-a-part cake? Do you have a recipe for it?
I've enjoyed it; the person who made it called it Monkey Bread and Hungarian Pull-Apart Bread;

Yes, made with biscuit dough

Preheat oven 350 degrees F (gas mark 4)

Four cans of biscuit dough, cut each biscuit into quarters

Cinnamon/sugar mixture in a shallow bowl

Melted butter

Butter the inside of an angel food or bundt pan

Dip each biscuit quarter into melted butter then roll them in cinnamon sugar. Drop them haphazardly into the baking tin. Bake until risen and golden. Let cool 10 minutes then turn out onto a plate to finish cooling. Simply serve by encouraging people to help themselves by pulling it apart. Can be served with an icing dip for something fun. Enjoy!

PICK APART CAKE

4 cans biscuits

Quarter each one. Place 3/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon in plastic bag. Place quartered biscuits in bag (1/2 can at a time) and shake. Pile in a greased and floured bundt or angel food pan. Boil 1 1/2 sticks butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Pour over top. Bake for 45 minutes at 400 degrees. Remove from pan immediately.
You can make this with frozen bread or sweet rolls dough. Thaw out the dough first. Pinch off pieces and roll into balls of even size. Roll balls in cinamon/sugar mix, than drop them evenly into a greased bundt or angel food cake pan. Let the dough balls rise until almost double in size. Sprinkle the top with a half cup each of brown sugar, flour and margarine/butter plus a half teaspoon of cinamon, all rubbed together first. Bake a 375 fahrenheit on the middle rack in your oven for about half an hour or until the top is nicely browned and well risen. Turn on to a plate, put another plate on top, turn upside down and there you have it! Ready to serve. Give everyone a plate and provide more cinamon sugar for sprinkling and butter for those who aren't counting anything and enjoy. Just pull off the dough balls from the main ';cake.'; My two best friends and I could eat one in 20 minutes.
