1 Vanilla cake mix.


Can pineapple slices drained.


Mere-chino cherries, enough for each pineapple center.


I suggest using a well floured/greased or no stick oblong cake pan.


Mix cake mix per directions, after dumping in batter, carefully arrange pineapple slices, place a cherry in each center.


Follow cooking directions.


Test cake to see if it's done by poking with a toothpick, if doughy, not done.


After cooking remove from pan by turning upside down onto a waxpaper/butcher paper covered cardboard or baking sheet and let cool.Is there an easy recipe for cake?
Basic 1-2-3-4 Cake





1 cup (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature


2 cups sugar


3 cups sifted self-rising flour


4 eggs


1 cup milk


1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.


Grease and flour 3 (9-inch) cake pans. Using an electric mixer, cream butter until fluffy. Add sugar and continue to cream well for 6 to 8 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and milk alternately to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla and continue to beat until just mixed. Divide batter equally among prepared pans. Level batter in each pan by holding pan 3 or 4 inches above counter, then dropping it flat onto counter. Do this several times to release air bubbles and assure you of a more level cake. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Cool in pans 5 to 10 minutes. Invert cakes onto cooling racks. Cool completely and spread cake layers with your favorite frosting to make a 3-layer cake.



The easiest I have found are recipes from The Cake Mix Doctor. She takes boxed cake mix and adds ingredients so that they taste as though they were made from scratch.





Here's one of my favorites that I have made often. You will get TONS of compliments. You can also look on her website- cakemixdoctor.com and there's usually 5-6 recipes posted there and she changes them out every couple of months.





Almond Cream Cheese Pound Cake


From Cake Mix Doctor





1 (18.25-ounce) butter recipe cake mix


8oz cream cheese, softened


4 eggs


½ cup sugar


½ cup vegetable oil


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


1 teaspoon almond extract





Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 10” bundt pan or tube pan.





In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine all ingredients until well incorporated.





Pour mixture into pan and spread evenly. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.





Remove from oven and allow to cool.

Mix it all together, except icing, and bake. Decorate with icing. Eat the hell out of it.





And eat with plenty of beer. You can't go wrong.
