Does anyone have a red velvet cake recipe.. I can't find mine.?

Try this one.





INGREDIENTS:


1/2 cup shortening


1 1/2 cups sugar


2 eggs


2 tablespoons cocoa


1 1/2 oz red food coloring


1 teaspoon salt


2 1/2 cups flour


1 teaspoon vanilla


1 cup buttermilk


1 teaspoon soda


1 tablespoons vinegar


PREPARATION:


Cream shortening; beat in sugar gradually. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well after each addition. Make paste of cocoa and food coloring; add to creamed mixture. Add salt, flour and vanilla alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition. Sprinkle soda over vinegar; pour vinegar over batter. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Bake in 3 8-inch pans or 2 9-inch pans for 30 minutes at 350掳.Does anyone have a red velvet cake recipe.. I can't find mine.?

1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix





2 squares BAKER'S Unsweetened Baking Chocolate, melted





1 Tbsp. red food coloring





1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened





1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted





1 pkg. (16 oz.) powdered sugar (about 4 cups)





1/2 cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans








PREPARE and bake cake mix as directed on package for 2 (9-inch) round cake layers, adding chocolate and food coloring with water, eggs and oil; cool completely.





BEAT cream cheese and butter with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gradually add sugar, beating well after each addition. Stir in pecans.





FILL and frost cake layers with cream cheese frosting.Does anyone have a red velvet cake recipe.. I can't find mine.?
RED VELVET CAKE





2 1/2 c all purpose flour


1 1/2 c sugar


1 1/2 c oil


1 c buttermilk


2 eggs


1 tsp vanilla


2 tsp cocoa


1 tsp salt


1 tsp soda


1 tsp vinegar


1-2oz bottle red food coloring (or 2-1oz bottle)





Mix all ingredients together and bake at 350F for about 30 to 35 minute.





Icing:





1 Box (16oz) confectioner's sugar (sifted)


1 stick butter, softened


1 8oz package cream cheese


1 tsp vanilla


1 cup mixed nuts

vanilla





Combine first 5 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients until icing forms peaks. Fold in the nuts and spread over the cake
2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour


2 tablespoons good quality cocoa powder


1 teaspoon baking soda


1 teaspoon baking powder


1 teaspoon salt


1 1/2 cups sugar


1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened


2 large eggs


1 cup buttermilk


2 ounces red food coloring


1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar


1 teaspoon vanilla





For the Frosting


1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese


1/2 cup butter, softened


1 cup melted marshmallows (you may use Fluff marshmallow creme to make it easier)


1 (1 lb) box confectioners' sugar


1 cup chopped pecans





1. For the cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.


2. Grease and flour 2 (9-inch) cake pans.


3. In a medium bowl or on a piece of waxed paper, sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; set aside.


4. In a large bowl, cream together sugar and butter.


5. Beat in eggs one at a time.


6. Alternately add flour mixture and buttermilk.


7. Beat in food coloring and vinegar, then add vanilla.


8. Spread the batter evenly in the pans.


9. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.


10. Turn out onto a rack to cool.


11. Frosting: Blend cream cheese and butter together in a mixing bowl.


12. Add marshmallows and sugar and blend.


13. Fold in nuts.


14. Spread between layers and on top and sides of cooled cake.
