The basic from the site above (pictured as a layer cake, but I've made it as a sheet cake which turned out very good)

JELL-O Poke Cake

Prep Time: 30 min

Total Time: 4 hr 30 min

Makes: 12 servings

Take 2 cups boiling water,

1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip Whipped Topping, thawed, and

mix %26amp; match your recipe from these options...

cake layer = options Jell-O Brand Gelatin

white cake = Strawberry Jell-O

yellow cake = Berry Blue Jell-O

spice cake = Orange Jell-O

chocolate cake = Cherry Jell-O

Then follow our 3 simple steps:

PLACE 2 baked 9-inch round cake layers, top side up, each in clean 9-inch round cake pan. Pierce cakes with large fork at 1/2-inch intervals.

STIR boiling water into 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) Jell-O Brand Gelatin in medium bowl at least 2 min. until completely dissolved. Carefully pour gelatin evenly over cake layers. Refrigerate 3 hours.

DIP one of the cake pans in warm water 10 sec.; unmold onto serving plate. Spread with about 1 cup of the whipped topping. Unmold second cake layer; carefully place on first cake layer. Frost top and side of cake with remaining whipped topping. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until ready to serve. Decorate as desired. Store leftover cake in refrigerator.Does anyone know the recipe to making Strawberry poke cake?
All you do is bake a cake and when it's done, poke holes in it and pour the Jell-o on the cake layer. The Jell-o will run down into the holes.
you mean short cake right . love your cuzz my phone went dead.

I KNOW HOW TO MAKE A POKE CAKE. JUST MAKE A STRAWBERRY CAKE MIX. POKE THE HOLES AND POUR ON THE CONDENSED MILK. COOL AND SPREAD ON COOL WHIP AND LAYER STRAWBERRIES ON TOP.
