Whats a good cake recipe?

I am amking my friends cake for her bridal shower. What's a simple but tasty cake, that does not require too much expertise.


I'd like to do something somewhat unique though.Whats a good cake recipe?
PIG PICKEN CAKE





1 box Duncan Hines butter cake mix


4 eggs


1/2 c. oil


1 can mandarin oranges





Blend and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.





TOPPING:





1 box Cool Whip


1 can crushed pineapple, drained


1 box vanilla instant pudding





Mix well, pour over cake, keep refrigerated.

Easy Chocolate Mousse Cake Eagle Brand Recipe





* 1 box of chocolate cake mix


* 1 14-ounce can EAGLE BRAND庐 Sweetened Condensed Milk


* 2 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate, melted


* 1/2 cup cold water


* 1 4-serving size package instant chocolate pudding mix


* 1 cup of heavy cream, stiffly whipped





1. Preheat oven to 350潞F. Prepare and bake cake mix as package directs for two 9-inch layers. Remove cakes from pans; cool.


2. In large bowl, beat EAGLE BRAND庐 and chocolate until well blended.


3. Gradually beat in water and pudding mix until smooth.


4. Chill 30 minutes.


5. Beat until smooth. Fold in whipped cream.


6. Chill at least one hour.


7. Place one cake layer on serving plate; top with 1 1/2 cups mousse mixture.


8. Top with remaining cake layer.


9. Frost side and top of cake with remaining mousse mixture.
